Micro-Pen ( mesoestetic )

Microneedling is the umbrella term for a variety of different treatments that are designed to reduce the appearance of skin damage such as scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing. Very small needles cause tiny punctures in the skin; these small wounds encourage the body’s natural healing response and renew the skin cells. As the skin repairs itself the production collagen and elastin is triggered to give an almost immediate plumped and rejuvenated effect.

Though only very thin, the skin is made up of several layers, including the: dermis and subcutaneous. By penetrating the epidermis with very fine small needles collagen production is increased at the body heals itself.

Though only tiny, each wound will go through the three stages of healing:

  • Inflammation

  • Proliferation (tissue formation)

  • Tissue remodelling

Once the dermis is penetrated the puncture holes close in minutes and will heal relatively quickly. During the treatment the practitioner may use a serum; this will depend on the form on miconeedling conducted. When the tiny blood vessels are ruptured blood cells and serum are spread into the surrounding tissue.

The leucocytes (white blood cells) act on the damaged tissue, remove debris and kill bacteria. This reaction produces a surge of activity that leads to the Fibroblasts being “instructed” to produce more collagen and more elastin.

A few days after the treatment the epidermal cells (keratinocytes) begin reproducing and the epidermis becomes thicker.  Over the following months the skin will progressively tighten as the collagen becomes more supported.

About Skin Peels

Skin peels can be great to treat a range of conditions including acne, sun damage, pigmentation, fine line and wrinkles, scarring as well as refreshing thick, tired and dull looking skin.

There are exfoliators, resurfacers and peels, all work to different strengths and perform differing tasks, which can mean it's hard to know which one to choose.

Exfoliators are the gentlest way to refresh the skin. Working on the top layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, it removes the dead skin cells revealing the new, healthy skin below. Exfoliators are topical and have no down-time.

Resurfacers, sometimes referred to as mild peels, are superficial treatments, meaning that they work on the very top layers of the epidermis. Resurfacers generally have little-to-no downtime following treatment.

Single Treatment from $120.00

LED Light Therapy

When used regularly, LED light therapy is thought to be able to reduce breakouts, rosacea symptoms, psoriasis and other side-effects of inflammation. “Blue light triggers photochemical oxidation in order to kill bacteria on the skin, which is excellent for people with acne, eczema or rosacea. Red light stimulates our fibroblasts for cell renewal and ATP regeneration.

Near-Infrared has no colour but reduces inflammation and redness in the skin. It also speeds up wound healing and reduces pigmentation.

40mins - $45 ( Including cleanse and exfoliate )
